Researching fast growing poplar

Adverio RNK (Ukraine) have planted trees of fast growing poplar from North America under “Plant testing agreement” with Natural Resources Research Institute in University of Minnesota in Duluth. Out of 60 clones they will choose the champions and extend plantations. Fast growing poplar will be used as cellulosic material source for biogas and second generation bioethanol production. Now fast growing poplar being used as raw material source for paper and OSB production in North America. Results are  fulfilling the direction of cellulosic to biogas conversion that is being realised by Adverio in cooperation with Clark Engineering Company at Biogas Leeuwarden BV.
